Our school opens for supervision at 8:45am. As students arrive they are greeted by one of our friendly staff members. They are encouraged to place their bags on their bag hook and move to the double classroom that is open for supervision. This is a unique morning routine where our students engage in developmental/social play prior to commencing their school day of learning. Our students thoroughly enjoy this opportunity.
Our bell system commences with music to indicate a transition in routine. The students know that they are to pack up, go to the bathroom and line up outside their classroom in preparation for their session of learning.
Learning commences at 9:15am. Children arriving late must report to the office with their parent before going to class. Parents are required to sign-in children who arrive late and provide an explanation for the lateness. A doctor's certificate may be required.
Our student break for ‘lunch’ at 11:15am and learning resumes at 12:05pm. They then stop for ‘fruit break’ at 2:05pm and resume learning at 2:30pm.
Our school day concludes at 3.15pm. Please be punctual when dropping off and picking up your child. The teachers will not dismiss your child unless there is a line of site between the child and parent/carer. Please notify the school if you are running late and have made alternate arrangements. If you are unable to collect your child by 3.15pm we request that you make arrangements with the Out of School Hours (OoSH) Care service.
Please contact the school office on 9580 5361 if you require further information on OoSH.
